Last nights incident shows the importance of putting enough chain out when setting your anchor especially in strong winds.Ensure you know the weather conditions, and set your anchor correctly.
Once the boat had drifted out to deeper water it was off and across the shipping lane, thankfully no damage was caused to anyone and Poole ILB soon had the situation under control.
