The situation at the north end of Swanage bay is of concern and during this bad weather we would advise people to keep clear.
Dorset Council have assessed the foot path at Sheps Hollow and the steps remain closed for safety reasons.
Over night there has been further movement and this has increased debris on to the beach. When mixed with water this creates very soft ground and there is a risk of getting stuck.
The whole area from the end of the concrete promenade is now difficult to walk on especially at certain tides.
There is water and mud pouring out of the cliff face at several locations.
Please keep yourselves and others safe by staying clear whilst conditions are poor.
In an emergency call 999 Coastguard.
