Both Swanage and St Albans Coastguard teams were tasked to assist and bring the walker to safety.
With the assistance of the County Park Rangers the walker was stretched to a vehicle and then to a warm place of safety to wait for an ambulance. The Coastguard teams provided first aid until the arrival of a critical care team tasked due to the injuries which were believed to be a fracture and dislocation.
The coastal path remains very wet and muddy and care should be taken following the recent weather.
