A concerned member of the public called 999 reporting a paddle boarder and child in possible distress in north Swanage last night.
Swanage RNLI ILB was launched to investigate a report of a male and child on a board near to the Grand Hotel after they fell off several times.
The Coastguard team were also called to search the shore line and having spoken to several people it appears the pair made it safely ashore and left the area.
