Both Swanage Coastguard and St Albans Coastguard teams were tasked to assist Police around 22.00 at Studland for a missing female.
The Coastguard teams were quickly joined by both the Swanage RNLI Lifeboats.
Search teams deployed covering the cliff tops and the lifeboats searched the base of the cliffs out towards Old Harry Rocks.
Twenty minutes into the search, the RNLI inshore lifeboat crew spotted the female shouting for help at the base of the cliff.
Cut off by the tide the crew picked her up transferred her to the lifeboat, which met an ambulance at North Haven Steps as the effects of the cold were setting in.

The work you carry out and carried is fantastic. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
You all worked together and that is something seldom found in other areas.
Amazing.
Indeed as the Father of the missing girl I can only thank you all so very much. Fantastic effort from an amazing, diverse set of emergency agencies that saved my daughters life. She is recovering well.
